Portfolio > Carborundum Collagraph

Carborundum Collagraph – a print made by use of carborundum grits glued onto a plate surface. The word collagraph is from collage, the gluing of different materials onto one surface to create a singular image. Not interchangeable with any other name. All the carborundum collagraphs made at Yama Prints were made using ‘carborundum paste’, described in my book, CARBORUNDUM COLLAGRAPH PRINTMAKING - A non-toxic painterly method to make full-spectrum fine art prints. For more information on the book - with a brief history of the medium and instructions - see Links page.
