As with many of Ellen's prints, this was a drawing on acetate which was transferred to a metal plate (in this case, zinc) by photographic means. This particular plate was made before Ellen started working at Yama, but not editioned. When she began at my shop, I'd already been using carborundum collagraphy on plexiglass for a while, and she saw the possibility to finalize the image by adding colors. Donna Shulman was the assistant printer.
